Boxing and its participants have suffered the impact of the Coronavirus crisis especially the athletes who have had their respective competitions paused and are waiting for the green light to resume. The case of boxing is that it is another sport that has also had its own share of the impact following the postponement of the 2020 Olympics qualifiers and the final event. The Preparation for the athletes awaiting the qualifiers and the main event has taken a massive hit from this period which forced the country into a state of lockdown which has lasted for more than two months. The Shadow Boxing challenge is aimed at promoting the sport and as well inspire the boxing community in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenge will be the first of its kind and all Ugandans who would wish to don boxing gloves are eligible to take part. It is open to all - women and men of all categories.
