. Jill was an eggplant. A scarlet eggplant. However, unlike her bitter parents, Jill was a sweet and optimistic veggie who aspired to, one day, become an eggplant! A real eggplant. She didn’t want to stay and only be known in a few recipes. She wanted to see places, travel the world and enjoy the prestige of being an important part of a highly desired recipe! Like a ratatouille, baba ganoush or even a moussaka. Her mother, a scarlet eggplant who was a loving and caring mother to her daughter, tried to explain that once you were born a scarlet eggplant, there was no way you could become just an eggplant. Nature had it’s own rules and they should abide by them. And in the end, being a scarlet eggplant wasn’t so bad, and it actually could become an acquired taste to humans and if not, it still was certainly quite the prized veggie among birds. But Jill didn’t care. In fact was she was harvested quite young and knew that scarlet eggplants turned even more bitter as they matured like her parents. But she was still young, full of hope, fiber, potassium, phosphorous and calcium. And because of that Jill had just recently enrolled in a self-improvement course given by a notorious Brussel Sprout who had recently managed to became a lettuce; he was actually one of the 1st veggies in the world to do that! Jill was excited! If he could do it, so could she! So she was studying very hard: From the morphology of eggplants to taking mime classes with a real eggplant… Her father, on the other hand, was getting very worried about Jill
