Ondina is a Southern mermaid from the Mako Pod in Mako: Island of Secrets. She is one of the protagonists in Season 2 and briefly a antagonist. Ondina is who decides that she and Mimmi must go against the mermaid council's rules and runs away to drain Zac of his powers. She is determined to save Mako for the pod, which holds deep sentimental value to her. Like most mermaids, she holds deep resentment for land people and mermen.
