Mar 15, 2022 - Hello everyone, I have had the pleasure of working as a Lead Character Artist on Hazelights latest game - It Takes Two. Coming from A Way Out to working on this game was a true game changer for the entire studio. During the years of production we faced a lot of challenges but I am very happy about how the game turned out in the end. Throughout production of It Takes Two I had the responsibility of creating one of the main characters, May. It was an honor to be a part of this project and to be entrusted with creating May as she is one of the most important characters in the game. In the end May went through many changes and alterations as our Creative Director, Josef Fares, had a very specific vision of what May should look and feel like. During the project I always kept an eye on Mays overall look based on the directions from our Creative Director and Art Director. When working on a main character like this it’s important to understand that the final asset is the end result of many peoples hard work. I would like to give special thanks to Josefine Persson who created fantastic concept art throughout the entire project, Josef Fares and Soni Jorgensen for directing us and always pushing for more crazy stuff, our Art Director Claes Engdal for fantastic visual guidance and my entire Character Art team for always being there and being awesome (especially Malin Schneider who placed all of the small threads located on Mays sweater and hair). Also, special thanks to the Plants vs. Zombies Character Art team that gave us feedback and some fantastic concept ideas along the way. Couldn't have done it without you guys (sorry if I forgot anyone). Finally a huge thanks to everyone at Hazelight! It was a collective effort and the entire team worked really hard to make this game happen. I hope everyone enjoys playing it as much as we did making it. Thanks!
