Oliver North, U.S. Marine Corps officer, conservative political commentator, and author who was involved in the Iran-Contra Affair. Although he was found guilty of several crimes in 1989, the charges were dropped two years later. He later hosted a radio talk show. In 2018–19 he served as president of the NRA.
