Anderson is a Red Engine who works on the Great Waterton Branch! Anderson is based on the Lancaster & Yorkshire Railway (L&YR) Class 28 0-6-0 locomotive. Designed by George Hughes, The class was a rebuilt version of the L&YR's Class 27, with included the addition Belpaire firebox, and extended footplate and front sandboxes, larger cylinders, and a superheater. 63 of the Class 27's were rebuilt between 1909 and 1912, with an additional 20 being built new around the same time at the L&YR's Horwich
